Any ideas guys , I was constantly challenging for wins and podiums before the update.
I'm now finishing between 6 and 10th regularly. 
Can a update effect you so much ?
My qualifying seems competitive also but during the race I'm getting left behind.
I know it's a easy excuse to blame a update as it effects everyone ,however my drop off since the update is pretty alarming even when I have almost identical strategies ?

I had this happen to one of my other accounts about two seasons ago.

I was on pole for most of the season but always ended up losing pace to another manager.

From my own experience it was all about car development. I was developing the 'optimal' way. Sure it worked for quali but I lacked race pace. I did a few tweaks for the next season and everything was back to how it should be.

Maybe the optimal development strategy really isn't?

Try some new things.

What did you try mate.
I seem to be trying everything,  different strategies etc ...
What worries me is when I decide on similar strategies others and yet  I'm still back down in 8th place ?‍♂️

The same happened to me in this current season...in the last season  before the update I can win even when I'm sandbagging as I have a massive advantage on race pace..but for this season nothing seems to work..my race pace had been poor and I was never good at qualifying

This isn’t unusual and happens to most of us at some point.  It’s happening to me at the moment and happened about 7 seasons ago as well.  

Usually it’s down to something not being right with your design or not using the best strategy for your current design (the fact it’s both of my accounts makes me think it’s down to a design error).  It’s frustrating though.

New driver and CD time… dunno if it makes any difference but we’ve all been through these phases. Drives you to insanity until it all somehow clicks back together again.
The tyres are super sensitive to heat now since the update so you really need to control your temps more now

    theres nothing to do with the car development! the problem are the tyre consumption now is really bad ! U can wear now untill 15% but still good to run sounds weird right ? Then the DRS is over power now,  Dirty air is kinda 25% only not gone at all,  seems like the game does not like the realistic anymore im not being toxic here but only sharing my experiences about the game thesedays . I think u should read the post again by jack what is being nerf or buff maybe it can help u to win the race again! 

Try a quicrace mode if the track has 12 laps use S first for 7 laps or 8 and then SS youll see whats the problem now and u cannot accept it! 

If someone says try somthing new ok thats fine but if u play the game but not based on the realistic for now in a modern era its really bad and people must be ignore the game slowly n they re gonna leave the game unless youre a kid with 13-15 years old! Thats my opininon!

You have always been able to run tyres beyond their limits and win so nothing new there.  Fuel loads have always overriden tyres in this game.

Dirty air is now 0 not 25%.  It will be reintroduced once the bugs are fixed.

This is a formula racing management strategy game not a F1 simulation so realism it’s not its main objective.

If what you say was true everyone would be affected and no one would see a difference so car development and strategy is clearly a logical reason.

Ok now i agree with you about the strategy and car development but realims is needed too my problem are the tyre and realism puncture and crash should be in this game then, I know its not f1 game, but this is kinda similar with f1 game and whos talking about f1 game im actually not talking about f1 game it means u dont get my point then, you say that realism is not the main object means this game doesnt need the realism anymore!
 So now why are you crying about the over power DRS and the dirty air mode is off now? ??? and why the people now who play this game are crying about the lost of dirty air and the Over power DRS u know im saying? It means u need the realism too for a game not only me and u and these people in this conversation?  
What about the football manager?  Is injury needed in that game? Will the players complain about theres no injury ? Of course yes they will complain, and give a suggest in the forum!

Therefore i say unless kids with 13-15 years old will play this game! This words dont mean to blame the game or insulting the game! I hope u guys understand what is really people need for playing a game! Or maybe this game need a regulation about the engine attribute or tyre attribute it will be good thats just an opinion! I mean Like motogp tyre supplies every season there must be a different act from the tyre ! Once more ita just an opinion! Because now were not in the suggest room!  I dont wanna talk much about suggestion! U know what i mean? 
In this era realism is needed for a game thats all i know if u wanna go back to 80's thats ok! Graphic is now 95% nearly like a real life like fire, water n more!

Sir!  Are u sure? tyre is not the logical and not a part of strategy problem too and not a new problem?  Before the update tyre consumption is not the problem for me!  S 1lap 8% x 15laps = 120% and consumption but now 120% is not the true result 120% is now = 75-80%

 consumption only before the update u cannot run S tyre for 120% and i think u know that! To be honnest I personally agree with this guy puncture, and crash needed in this game means realistic needed for a game i also hope there will be puncture and crash although its not the simulator we have a 3D version so i can watch the car crash with a glass of coffee in front of my monitor it would be nice with tv mode on?!
