I voted no because I first want the devs to iron out gameplay related stuff and when that’s sorted, add new tracks

For me personally I'd rather see tracks that have been used more recently in countries not already on the list (Portimao & Zandvoort probably, maybe Jeddah too), but I'd rather they get the game working to a level they are happy with before adding brand new tracks.

I completely agree with you Dino, the new tracks like Zandvoort, Portimao, Jeddah (and potentially Miami) will be great to be added, but they are wanting to improve the gameplay and visual to a good level before thinking of adding more tracks.
Of course, the number of tracks currently is enough imo...
Before adding more tracks, they should think of fixing the Abu Dhabi track to make it more realistic first I guess...

I think it's impossible to have a new track but if it does, it would be great

The tracks are not direct replicas of any current real life circuit because of copyright issues, so even if new tracks were to be introduced they would only have a passing similarity to real life.

But the question I have is... What would be the point of new circuits? After the most recent updates, in terms of gameplay all tracks are now very similar. Certainly in 50% race length it appears to be n-1 laps of watching a train of dots snaking its way around a 2D representation of a racing circuit and then a final lap boost war to see who kept the most boost back or how lucky you are to be in the right position for the final lap DRS.

Personally I think Developer resources would be much better employed sorting out a new dirty air algorithm rather than making a bunch of differently shaped circuits that will play exactly the same as the 24 we already have.

I'll even take back the old dirty air, warts & all at this point 😂.

As mentionned above, gameplay at this points is mostly sitting in a drs train with last lap boost rush

Yeah, but no
P.S. It all depends on who is fighting

And number of players. Small leagues can have an absolute ball with the DRS. My 5 car season turned out to be brilliant with the way competition for the title was. I'm starting to notice what the train is going to be like now though with more cars in the league.

Sure if you fight a bunch of rookies or non competitive managers, you won’t have train races

Two things:-

1)  variety is the spice of life and boredom will eventually set people running from this game.
This is both a personal opinion and my reasoning behind saying yes to this idea.  Also, we already have half of Hokenheim in the game, the "modern layout" without, the forest section.  In the spitit of things.  I would ask for Nurburgring Nordschliefer..

2)  WRT Kevin's comment:-

2.1) I would say that with the new design of cars needed, IRL F1 will emulate racing on here now to some degree.  As F1 are reducing dirty air for tighter racing as well.

2.2)  Considering the above point I do not think that it is the cars or physical effects around them that need changing yet again.  I believe that an extention of driver stats in the background would be better.  Especially if we are speaking of level 20 cars in elite tiers, which would all be the same effectively, anyway.  I will speak of this driver idea in another thread from now on, as I am going off topic here.

This is very true, but I think a more important variety than just having more tracks is covering a greater portion of the globe. It probably sounds a little weird, but an increased spread of races would allow for more variety in race conditions (some time periods, have just all of Europe, West Asian and Brazil at night). To fix this ideally you'd have tracks added instead of just where people want tracks, but also to allow for more interesting/varied conditions over the course of a season. However a lot of ideal countries lack Grade 1 tracks, so one idea I might put out for this is looking at adding lower grade tracks (New Zealand could have Grade 2 Taupo or a NZ GP track), having duplicate country tracks moved (e.g. Brands Hatch place in Hawaii) or even a combination of both.

Extra tracks would also allow calendars to feel a bit more unique between seasons and/or leagues. Also makes the game more tactically interesting running races where you have a lot less information on them leads to much more interesting strategy (rather than, this is what worked last time).

While I still stick by my earlier statement about getting the racing balanced first, I certainly think this should just be kept in the back of people's minds.
