Disable DRS or KERS because..

So drs is a easy way to overtake in this game and in real F1, in the last update devs removed completely dirty air because it was too strong and overtake was almost impossible without drs or kers, right now we are waiting for next balancement update and a revamped dirty air..

So the state of overtake right now is that it's easy to overtake slower car without drs or kers but it's very difficult to broke drs train cause drs is way too strong without dirty air and there is kers of course. In result we have all the players that stay in drs train all the race and use kers in the last lap...  it's so boring and it doesn't matter who has the most developed car or the best push levels skill 

In the meantime i think we could have more enjoing race without kers, drs or both, so my suggestion is to remove one of them or even both temporarely.

Plus i suggest to add a way to have disabled kers/drs for future league options.

Absolutely interesting thread. In this update, there is only one long train until the finish line in the races. The reason why SS strategy is also unpowered is because they can't reach the back of train after their first pit stop and so easily overcutted by 3-stops full S strategy. This happens because after the elimination of dirty air the peloton is very compacted: 20 cars in 2/3 seconds, I mean that is not acceptable. Other sad fact is that with 5-8 litres in less is also very very difficult make a breakaway from the peloton, if not impossible. Therefore the races are resolved by boosting 100% of the boost in the last lap in very competitive leagues. And you are right, DRS is more powerful because we follow the car behind by 0,1s and I see losing 5/6 positions in one DRS sections (imagine if that happens in the last laps). By the way I think the solution is not enabled boost. I think dirty air was one element of the races like in real Motorsport is. Some tracks were broken I know but now the races are very boring. On the other hand now is more easy overtake without use of boost but now there is nomore one and only one element of management in a race. I can't make a 2 stop strategy (75%) in China or Spain because Medium tyres have more wear (I don't know why they increased M and H wear) so all of us are in the same strategy, the same train, 0,1s between each other... All of these things make the game so boring and tacticless. I find this update very very poor.

They said the update didn't work as intented and as they tested. They also said that dirty air will be added again in future in a revamped way i guess.

My suggestion to have at least drs disabled could make race less boring while they are working on gameplay. They are so slow to make an update so this could prevent people from quitting the game.

Plus drs will be disabled even in real f1 if the new rules will make overtake easier

Says who?

Even with the new cars DRS won’t be disabled because it’ll still be worse than the 2010 situation

That’s yet to be tested.


Anyway disabling DRS in this game will turn most dry races into de-facto wet races, albeit with more variety of tyres  and we know how many ppl moan about wet races ?

Rumors from journalists in contact with fia, the federation doesn't want drs if the cars will be able to overtake easier, for the upcoming season drs will be there of course.

But the point is that the recent update has worstened the drs train due to the absence of dirty air...so my suggestion could prevent it and




We already have all the races the same, start, stay in drs train, wait for the last lap and go full kers, is this fun for you? 

Btw my suggestion was just for a Limited time before the devs will fix the gameplay because i don't think they can do it quickly enough..

That's not racing manager, it's a Boost manager.
