I was wondering with these new tire wears how Meds can be useful if Soft tyres can performance until 40% or less? And where are finished the conservative stragies in China, Spain, Malesia, etc.?? Are we have forced to make the same strategies in all races in a STRATEGIC game? Little weird

Its winter , M tires are going to be better when it's hot ..

In Abu Dhabi, Malaysia and Singapore Australia and so on there are more than 20°C, man

Anyway someone moved my post here but the SUGGESTION was to change something in the tire wears to make more evident when they have done many laps

Hello Bud,

Maybe mods only saw questions in your topics. A suggestion needs a constructive opinion and a idea to solve the original problem or improve the game with new features, they saw none of this in your thread! :)

It’s not winter in the Southern Hemisphere

Yes ok! I forgot to mention that the previous system (when you had to struggle under 50%) was better in terms of multiple strategies ???

As I race in a 2 tyre league, I said this immediately after the update, the SS were made quicker then after a day made slower again, why I don't know. The soft tyres were made to wear faster to bring in the mediums, but as you and many people have noted the performance drop off on them doesn't match the wear rate. After a couple of races I could see soft tyres that are worn to 20% are still faster than mediums with 50% wear on the same fuel loads, at hot circuits as well as cold. The update as far as I'm concerned didn't fulfill its purpose to bring in the other tyres. On identical fuel loads the softs should be quicker to start, then they should fall off and the mediums should then be faster until a particular lap the cars are back together again, with the softs still performing and setting quick lap times, even though they are worn means the medium car never catches up.

This system is a bullshit man. What you said is completely right. In other words it means full S strategy = NO strategy in a strategic game ? I would like to know why and what was the purpose of this system by someone who did it

I’m not someone who did it but I think you’re confusing two things. The wear curve is affected but the reason it doesn’t seem that way is the removal of dirty air.

Because of there beeing no dirty air, S tyres are able to hold onto a DRS train, enabling them to set faster lap times on worn tyres. The true effect of wear is not visible atm because everyone just sits on the drs train.

With dirty air, result would be completely different and wear on S tyres would affect lap times more then it does today
