DISCLAIMER
I am writing this post to try to make an analysis of the current state of the game and to hear the opinions of the most experienced players, saying that I know a few mods, but I am only a player and I have observed over the years all the phases that this game has gone through.

I will try to do this analysis by playing a game, i will put myself in the shoes of the CEO of the game and i will describe my vision.
ALL I WILL SAY IS SIMPLY THE THOUGHT OF A PLAYER AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IGP STAFF. 



My vision for the near future

Let's start with the last big change made almost a year ago now, the 3d, which I discovered is not as useful as I thought to manage your own driver in real time race (all the strongest managers I know use the good old 2d). The possible solution to this is to use it in the context of competitive e-sport where a person is the commentator of  real time races, better if on streaming platforms (twitch).

I will use part of the marketing budget to collaborate with some popular streamer to comment live on major leagues when the game will be well balanced. Formula 1 is more popular than ever and this thing must be exploited, using streaming platform we will make ourselves known to a larger community of competitive players, there will be a return on the investment made and the 3d view that has cost years of work will be very useful.


To achieve this, there are several steps the game needs to be ready:
1)First of all we need to hire new people in the staff of the developers, the changes that need to be done are important and must be done quickly, you have to invest to make a profit.

2)The player must have more weight in the final result of a race, after the changes necessary for the 3d the weight that the player has in the final performance of a race has been drastically reduced, we will work a lot on the balance:

  • The most important issue is to differentiate more the performance of the car depending on the push level used and the temperature of the tires, now the performance between different push level is too similar.

  • We will also evaluate a new ratio between performance / tire consumption in order to make it less flattened. 

  • Attributes like acceleration, breaking, downforce and handling will have a greater differentiation in performance depending on the track, and different weight during the season's developement.

  • More strategy variety,  randomize performance and tyre consumption between certain values so the player has to find the new best strategy every season. This will allow to have a different best tyre every season (one season soft could be the best, follow season the hard could be better and so on). 

  • There has been a lot of talk about dirty air in the recent past, dirty air may not exist if a good balance is reached between DRS and  overtaking, dirty air is just a cog in a more complex mechanism where everything work togheter. The DRS will be reduced in most of the tracks trying to maintain a good level of overtakes.



3) the qualyfing nightmare has been going on for years, we will finally work to fix the qualyfing and if necessary we will develop a new system. 


4) more user friendly advanced strategy.

5) Once all this balancing is completed we will create a group of competitive leagues in addition to the already existing ones, each with managers of the same level with promotions and relegations.(like the first division, second division etc.)
all this to start the igp e-sport where the most important races will be commented live on twitch.

If it is true, it will be amazing for the future of the game. Since marketing was shut down, our game seemed like dead in terms of new players (I mean, not so many have the passion with the game) while we are still trying to give more ideas on developing the game better. Hope Jack and his staffs will read this and consider the future of the game, yes I know they are a small team but if all of this can be developed, it will be a huge boost to their income flow.

Thanks guys, my vision is just a dream of a player that started playing this game in 2012 because i saw a lot of potential, it's disappointing to say that 10 years later this game need more work than ever.
