Months ago some updates were promised, such as the rules for the championship (double compound and no refueling ...), an arrangement of the 3d and the increase to level 30 ... these updates were then postponed, putting some gameplay improvements first.
One of these concerned the elimination of dirty air... with the effect of creating trains of cars waiting for the last lap to shoot the BOOST (kers) at the right time. This "improvement" had the effect of making the races with the rain "playable". notoriously always BORING.
Suddenly an update was then released that replenished the dirty air in less ways than before, but still reinstated it; (from what I found out there was a poll on the English forum where around 300 people voted... I hope that I am not the 301st player of the game and the only one who did not know) but if in the "dry" races this had a minimal effect, in the "wet" ones it had a "very bad" outcome, we went back to when the race was decided already at the start ... who starts in front wins... whether it makes 1 stop less (capping the others) or with an extra stop (free track ... very fast).
well wet races have always been boring... precisely because you do not have much room for maneuver and you can not use the drs... (in real formula 1 the DRS is not used, but overtaking are possibles) so if you end up behind someone more loaded, it is impossible to overcome it.
That said, I understand that it is problematic to have 2 different effects between rain and dry... but there is one thing that makes the situation much worse:
igp manager 3d lives of 3 moments: the pre-race, the qualification and the race.
The pre-race (points, research, set-up, strategies) and the race (pushes, variations of strategy in the race etc ..) are manageable by the player; but the qualification is not!
The qualification is "automatic" but follows laws that players cannot understand:
If the order of ingresse (because it is not contemporary with all machines, as evidenced in some cases of variable weather qualifications) has little influence (or at least has "rare" effects due to the weather), there are other factors much, much more important:
it has been widely discovered that "very tall" drivers on almost all tracks has advantages over the shorter one, although with minimal differences (looking at the gaps in the times) but that they become important when racing in balanced championships.
Starting from January, however, 2 factors were added that upset some championships: the first concerned the weight of the driver, which before could not even be the minimum and had no impact ... while now 10kg more feel wide and It would have been useful to report such a thing ... the second (which could be a collateral effect of the first) made women faster than men in qualification (but it is also suspected in race if offline)... now this could also be "wanted" and fun, but the problem is the difference in times that is exaggeratedly in favor of women especially on certain tracks: even 0,5s of difference! A difference that cannot be compensated through strategy and development!
And if it rains... the combination of rain, dirty air and woman at the wheel... it ends the race in qualifying whether it is a 25% or a 100%!
So the combination of very fast woman + dirty air risks distorting the game making it too "random".
I saw managers not put points for the first 3 races and make the pole position just because he had the tall woman: this is really sad because it disappoints any expectation of a game that should be managerial and instead would live on the luck of finding a tall woman ...
Of course, at this point it would be enough to find all women and we return as before ... but what would be the point? How long would it take a new player to figure it out? and would you find it sensible?
From a management game I expect the best manager to win... not who is luckier to find a tall woman....
That said, I still think that there are other aspects to improve and perhaps we should listen to those who have been played for a long time not to do polls where the latest arrivals vote ,who are the ones who look at the forum most frequently ...
