New post only for this.
Today, the head of states were going to a discussion on what will happen. Both couldn't get to an agreement yet, what is not unusual so spontanous. What happens in Kiev is not looking good for the Ukrainians, it seems to be surrounded by Russian troops. Meanwhile Putin stays at his line, Ukraine should give "his" parts aka Crimea, Donbas and what the last one was I forgot to him.
Because of the sanctions against Russia, the Ruble is sinking dramatically, at an all-time low of 0.009$/1 Ruble. That causes the poorest Russians to maybe struggle with living. (Remember, the population is mainly against a war.)
Meanwhile, at least 500,000 Ukrainians have already fled the country, with lots more to come.
Zelensky still wants to join the EU ASAP, apparently he already signed a contract, although it hasn't been confirmed. The EU meanwhile wants to spend half a billion Euros for defending the country.
As we know, many countries are stopping Russian planes from entering their airspace. Russia though gives the UNO Reverse card and bans planes from more than 30 countries from entering THEIR airspace.
Now to sanctions from sports, the FIFA and UEFA have excluded Russia from the football tournaments, resulting in no possibilities for the Russian national team to qualify for the World Cup this winter, following the FIA with their return of Turkey instead of Sochi. The IOC also wants to exclude Russia and Belarus from the Paralympics starting next week. All of that is on not defining time, it might be that those stop this summer, but also it could be for the next few years.
That's it for today, and we'll hope for tomorrow.
