i have noticed that 1driver in my shortlist was set free from the old manager, i wanted to buy the driver but she has been in a locked state and not going on sale for alot of time

Hello,
The lock appears on any driver outside of the transfers which hasn't previously been a member of your team. The developers implemented this in order to stop some managers using codes in order to take all of the best drivers and CDs as soon as they were sold.
The only ways to acquire drivers and staff now are:
• Through your shortlist (assuming the staff member has already been part if your team in the past).
• Through the transfers auction system.
• Through your Offices and Hospitality or Youth Academy Headquarters.
