Hello! Is it ever worth to use the mefium tieres? Feels like they are way to slow

It depends on the temperature. Hot track enables you to push harder with M tires while S might be burning even with low push. Medium will usually benefit you during longer stints when S starts to fall off but if you cannot use highest push with M almost touching red zone then most likely it is a bad choice. Also, your M can be slow because of higher fuel loads.

I don't think medium have to be the your first choice but hard tyres are useless.

I use medium tyres when my previous stints are longer than expected and I don't want to have 2 very short stints on supersoft and one soft stint will be too long.

In the last 30 races I only used medium twice.

Medium tyres are almost as bad as hards atm.

Owing to the lack of balance between the different tyre compounds  There aren’t currently any situations where meds are superior to softs.  Most tracks and temps mean that S,S; or SS,S; and  occasionally SS,SS are the most optimal tyre strategies.  Worn out S tyres are always faster than new M’s which is a crazy situation (although fuel load also impacts speed).

It’s shame and tyre balancing is greatly needed in the game so that running longer stints on M or H is rewarded and multiple strategies can be successful.

I would disagree, in leagues with 2 tyre rule, meds are very useful. Maybe it’s because I race 75% distance, idk but I do experience multiple strategies are successful in quite a lot of races

I race 75% on my other account and don’t think I’ve seen anyone use meds deliberately with any success since the original upgrade that removed dirty air. Neither in my 100% either.  Anyway when everyone has different opinions it makes for interesting racing.

Do you have a 2 tyre rule?

Not in Current leagues, but one of my previous leagues did and was always combo of SS and S (all after the update which removed dirty air and caused DRS trains with last lap boost fest).

My friend if your league runs a 2 tyre rule and you all use supers and softs on tracks like Italy, you’ve missed a giant opportunity to beat them all. Meds have their use when 2 tyre rule is active, I use them regularly

I absolutely disagree with this.

I had a race a few days back where Mediums were only about 3 tenths slower than softs, and after about only 5 laps they were faster.

In the majority of races, yes, mediums aren't as good, but in a good deal of races mediums, over the course of a stint are much better than softs. It just depends on the track and situation.
