shall the devs add a function that makes drivers able to recharge the boost when they hit the brakes during the race?

ERS replacing the current boost system would make boost use more tactical rather than the current save as much as possible to dump at the end meta. I would say the best way would be a separate push level for ERS alongside the current push levels.

So in real formula 1, the boost or in this case KERS is rechargeable and If we added it to the game, it will add realism to the game and it will recharge up to N+20% in stupidly tight hairpins from a fast straight. (N in this case in the battery percentage left); it's like grinding for boost, you save up boost and you use that to blast to victory!

Add rechargeable ERS and remove DRS... Ive been saying this on here and on track for years

I’d say remove the importance of DRS

Please no. This just rewards slower players who use boost solely screw others over for no reason. And the leader can avoid the first drs lap and the race is over from there

This is the dream of bad players who want to be first each lap. A big no from me. Learning to use boost wisely is the key to be first on last lap.

I think that, if added in actual conditions it would be for sure a bad thing. But if the devs manage to reduce the strenght of actual DRS and add a less powerful rechargeable ERS I think it could be something really interesting

Finally someone who isn’t negative, with a little thought by the devs this could be good

I like it as it is now as it rewards being patient with boost to a huge extent but you need to know when the right and wrong time is to boost. With rechargeable boost there is no reward for being patient and waiting until the last lap to make your move. It could be an option within league rules like no refueling is now though.

I personally don't have a problem with the current setup. We have close finishing races alot of the time in our small league. Also I think it adds a blend of different open wheel car leagues. Alot of Formula 1, but the boost system is liken to Indycar's "Push to pass" boost system. I'm a fan of using a little from here and there to make this its own game.

Yes, I also am in support to take the best for gameplay from all worlds. In this case I rather like the current fixed boost as it's a challenge to juggle early use and final sprint to make the best out of it. A rechargeable one means adding a tedious action to use some every lap at the best spot to never reach 100% and waste any recharge and makes it more useless for overtaking as there's much less incentive not to use boost to defend the position.

Agree, it would become a boring procedure every lap. Now, you need to read the race as best as you can and judge when to jump forward, with rechargeable boost, it would take away the importance of this skill or intuition whatever you call it

It’s boring now, wait for last lap then unload…

You might have too little competition then, certainly isn’t boring in competitive leagues

I think it could be used for some league whose teams’ car compatibly is very similar, and the Performance Index(PI) are similar can be used.
