Ive had so many races where mine and someone else car have pitted in the same spot where in real life you have individual pit boxes with individual pit crews i think both would improve the overall experience on the game

The pit lane often straddles the finish line, some boxes are before the line, some are after. You can see what this does by looking at your individual car race data sheets, check the fuel and tyre data for the in lap. If your pit box is before the line you will see 99% tyre wear and a whole bunch of fuel because the tyres were changed and the car refuelled before it crossed the finish line.
Until recently all cars had their own pit boxes, but AFAIK in an attempt to overcome an issue with cars pitting on the wrong lap in "No Refuelling" races, as a temporary measure the Devs have forced all cars to pit on one side of the finish line which means they sometimes appear to share boxes.
I'm sure that the intention eventually will be to reinstate each car having it's own pit box.
