Push level has nothing to do with the lap a car pits in a no refuelling race. I will escalate this bug report to the Devs.

Mitchell.
From your post race report can you determine which side of the finish line the car pitted. The clue will be the tyre wear remaining on the "in lap". If it is 99% this suggests the pit box is before the finish line.

The pit box was after the finishing line.

A few others in my league reported a similar problem,  but don’t know whether they were just looking at in race data.

Mine definitely shows on the post race lap by lap reports.  Report also shows I over-fuelled so it looks suspiciously like when you run extra laps before auto pitting in a live attended refuelling race due to over-fuelling .

I don’t believe I made a mistake in pre race set up, but of course I can’t confirm this now

This is not due to any mistake in pre-race setup. The pit logic has a problem with pits being both before and after the finish line and thus a pit stop after lap 10 means for some cars they pit in lap 10 (before line) and others in lap 11 (after) and the next stop after another 10 laps, that has to be triggered in lap 20, means it's last stop plus 10 laps for the first bunch and last stop plus 9 laps for the other, but currently just adds 10 as well and adding a lap to all further stints. That's why currently so many cars share a pit box as all are supposed to pit in a box before the finish line, something which didn't work in your, and probably those others reporting, case.

If this is a problem, wouldn't just moving the finish line to be in front of pit boxes be better solution than sharing pit boxes? They will pit after the finish line, but at least everyone who pits at same time will be guaranteed to pit in same lap.

This also causes a problem in offline races when advance strategy is set for a race that has rain then stops.  If you say set to change tyres x laps after it stops raining (x = no of your final stint), if pit box is after finish you will finish race then pit again adding time to finish and possibly losing positions.  I’ve experienced and seen this happen on many occasions.  Really pit lane/finish bugs need be a top priority to resolve.
