Your league has two tyre rule. From mobile I can only check Marcus' race (I already opened a suggestion thread for this reason: https://igpmanager.com/forum-thread/49166).

Marcus' driver has been disqualified because he used only medium tyres when the race ended. Probably a tyre change was planned in the last laps but It never happened. While his teammate managed to pit before the end.

He was DQ’d on lap 65 of a 68 lap race so I would assume a further pit wasn’t scheduled.  If he did intend to stop before end it wasn’t a great strategy and wouldn’t have worked anyway as you have no laps to make up lost time.

If you look the teammate strategy and what he did in previous race, yes this is clearly a bad strategy. I bet everything that last stop was planned on last lap(65).

3 times 32% of race on medium + last 3/4 laps on supersoft.

You are an elite player, you have a much higher rank than me and you are asking why? I'm missing some detail.

probably i’m being lapped and because the first place ended race and i’m being forced to end race before last pit happened so the last pit never happened?

Yes, you knew the reason.

This particular thread demonstrates the problem of inexperienced players finding themselves in an Elite tier before they're ready.

I know it wouldn't be popular with experienced managers who like the challenge of taking a low level team into Elite but in the interests of the majority of players it would be so much better if it required at least L15 to progress to the Elite tier.

This would have a couple of advantages:

  • It would remove backmarkers interfering with the race (not necessarily Macus's fault but his two drivers were lapped three and four times during this race)

  • It would create a much more competitive and enjoyable Pro tier if lower level teams were forced to remain in Pro for a little longer.

true, but i always lap others when i was in pro and rookie tier, now i’m the one who is being lapped. Just like Hamilton this year.

@Kevin I partially disagree. Now the transition rookie-pro is balanced.
The gap between pro and elite is too large, too much XP points are required to be competitive. As of now an intermediate tier is needed. When level 30 will be available the current system will kill the game. It must be redone from scratch.

@Marcus
I think you lapped inactive players.

Anyway the ranking system is a joke. In my first league I almost won each race (28/29) against people with an average 5500 rating and I never went above 5250... I don't understand how it's possible to have backmarkers with 6000 points in some leagues.

For years now, the majority of Pro tiers have been sparsely populated. Those that do have enough teams to trigger promotion usually only have one or two active teams. This is probably why you were lapping teams, they were most likely either filler accounts or belonged to managers who didn't bother to set up or attend the races.

Then you hit the Elite tier with little experience in the game and with a team that is just not going to cut it against the L20 opposition you will encounter.

Personally I think there is a good argument to introduce a minimum L15 before you can promote to Elite, possibly in combination with removing the Pro tier entirely.

But this is entirely off-topic, you understand why you were DSQ'd so I'll shut up before I have to ban myself.
