Hi there!
Many leagues have the problem, that they have a lot of Elite League Teams, a lot of rookie Teams but very few Pro Teams.
The thing here is, that if you have a Pro league out of 8 Teams, 2 of them get Promoted to Elite at the end of the Season while only two Teams from the rookie league promote to the pro league.
The result is that most of the leagues have a problem in keeping the Pro league big enough to enable promotion.
A vicious circle is made. If the pro league has not enough players to enable promotion, more Teams are going to leave. Then again, the pro league shrinks every Season.

I think that you could do about two things against that.

  1. let the league manager manage the promotion/relegation system

  2. make it three instead of two promotion/relegation slots betweem the pro and the rookie league. This would make the pro league grow significantly faster

Sorry for the bad english, I hope you can understand the matter. I would be happy to receive some feedback.
I wish you a nice week.

I answered yes but I don't like your suggestions. I'm worried about what will happen when there will be 10 more levels. We don't know what plans igp has for this big change.

I believe your suggestions would make the current issues worse.  It’s not that there aren’t enough teams in Pro, it’s that teams get promoted too quickly from rookie all the way to Elite.  Teams should only be allowed to be promoted once they reach a specific Tier, say 10 for Pro and 16 for Elite.

ATM a new manager joins a Rookie league gets promoted in their first season into a Pro tier with mainly inactive managers then finds themselves promoted to Elite at level 9 or 10.  The following season they are outclassed, demoralised and quit.

Allowing more promotions from Rookie to Pro would just exacerbate this situation.  Also, allowing hosts to manage promotions/relegations wouldn’t help as more managers would get promoted before they were strong enough and then they are stuck.  Even if the Pro tier was full of low level managers what happens if the league folds?  A number of managers would find themselves having to join a new league at Elite level that would almost certainly be too strong for them so again they get outclassed, demoralised and quit.

There is an argument for scrapping Pro completely and just having 2 tiers,  but with a minimum level to qualify for promotion to Elite.  Of course the elephant in the room is that there are too many leagues and it is too easy to start new ones, but that that is a question for another day.  If iGP eventually extends the max level to 30 then maybe the minimum  level for Elite could be 20?

I believe Jack was thinking about a complete overhaul for rookies

I think that you need to make the promotion function separately for each group.

Thank you for the feedback. Yes I agree that my suggestions would probably end up makimg everything worse.

Thanks for your suggestion on the other side.
