Driver weight decreases if you train the "Physical" attributes. Minimum weight for Male drivers is 51 Kg, Female drivers it is 46 Kg.

Currently the weight of the driver doesn't affect lap times but don't let that stop you reducing it because it seems the weight effect can be turned on and off by the Devs very easily and I have no idea what they are planning.

It was disabled again as female drivers have a weight advantage and many managers were unhappy how difficult/expensive it is to find ones of a good height. 

For motorsports and racing this doesn't clashes, as for example F1 has a minimum car weight including the driver. There are times the cars easily reach the weight and the advantage of a lower weight driver is down to the effect of possibly more beneficial distribution of ballast weight and with a technical directive of placing a minimum weight in the cockpit there would be none.
