I feel like having the ability to retire the car is something we are missing in the game.
This suggestion is meant to solve the interference caused by lapped cars.

Here are some examples for when you would like to retire your car:

  1. Offline, can't follow the live racing.

  2. Wrong setup/strategy. Impossible to score points in any way.

It would be something extra, changing nothing if the manager doesn't want to retire.
Another suggestion is an additional league rule for cars without setup to be automatically excluded from the race. what do you think?

There’s absolutely no reason to retire a car. if you can’t make it live so what the result loosing and retiring will be the same.

And setup I’ve never done a wrong setup in 8 years and if I forget I just don’t attend live race.

In elite tiers 99% of players buy new engines but in lower tiers I would expect 10/12 cars to the finish line because many players could retire since they cannot score points. I think it ruins the races and it doesn't improve anything.

If you have a bad race, you will finish last... Retired or not, this won't change your stats and lapped cars are part of the strategy for those in top positions.

If you are going to do a poll you have to make it balanced.  There is no option to leave it as it is, so your poll does not provide all reasonably plausible sides of the argument.  This means the results will be worthless and will be ignored by the devs since it cannot ever reflect the views of the player base.

Hello RoboTo,

As players said above this doesn’t add something meaningful to the gameplay. It creates a new scenario in which by mistake you can tap the retire button and mess up your race and possibly your season too.

I disagree that it does not add anything to game.

The lap 1 bounce backs is a joke and is further compounded by lighter cars that are trying to retire after lap 1.

To avoid scenarios where such can happen, an easy work around can be make the minimum fuel 0 instead of 1. That way the car does not even leave the grid, stays at the back and does not interfere at all.

Note my point of view is from an offline racer trying to retire his car to avoid interrupting the race.

I don't think anyone read my point, the suggestion was about minimizing the damage caused by offline or abnormal slow cars.

The reason for retiring the car is to do other managers a favor. We don't have to think about ourselves all the time.

For casuals players it may not be a problem but offline cars getting lapped can unfairly change the result of the race.
If everyone in the league doesn't want that why deny the option? As I said it is something extra that you can ignore.

It doesn't need to be a single press button, you can have double, triple confirmation.
What about the pit canceling for the no-refuel race, doesn't that also ruin the season?

You’re missing the point

The point is is a useless feature and serves no purpose
Keeping cars in is good I like the drs from lapped cars
