Have tyres come into play since the recent update.
I'm in a no refuling league and for example today I did 12 laps on softs 6% and 17 Laps on Medium's 5% in Spain.
I was on the limit, however the winning driver did 16 on softs and 22 on Medium's allowing him to pit just twice to my three,
Is this really possible as 22 on Medium's would have been 110% for me.
Or as I say has improving your tyres suddenly come into play thus reducing the percentage of tyre wear ?

I think no refuelling favours fewer stints especially at circuits where the time lost in a pit stop is large. Spain has one of the longest pit losses, the information I have suggests it's about 25 seconds.
Spain 100% is 62 laps, as a very rough calculation a two stopper is going to do approx. 21 laps per stint and a three stopper approx 16. So the two stopper is going to have to do 15 laps on tyres that are more worn than a three stopper (the final 5 laps on each of the three stints). In order for the three stopper to win he has to make up the 25 second pit loss in those 15 laps, so a bit over one and a half seconds a lap faster.
BTW, the tyre wear calculation doesn't work the way you suggest. If you get 5% tyre wear reported in practice it doesn't mean they wear to 0% after 20 laps.

OK thanks for your input.
But one thing I can't understand is how I managed 17 laps on mediums and they were really slow at this point ,yet the winner managed 22 Laps on them . Also as mentioned 12 laps on softs compared to his 16.
I know people never really upgraded there fuel and tyres but for example if I upgraded my tyre economy would the % become better.
I Understand your first point by the way so cheers for that ?
Also is there a post or link I could find with the Length of pit stops ?

You have answered your own question about the tyres. Upgrading your Tyre Economy will allow you to do more laps per stint.
Also, don't ignore your Fuel Economy. Remember to put some points into it, as well. This allows you to require less fuel which, in turn, makes your car lighter and faster.

Pit loss time.
You can get a very good estimation using a couple of accounts in a private lobby quick race. By managing the cars correctly you can avoid DRS or Boost effects from skewing the results.
Alternatively you can use your post race data but doing it this way it's difficult to eliminate DRS influence.

Which one? Most ppl call it useless

Last season in our 20 race league, Elite tier, Hard tyres were used in the winning strategy in 5 races. So that's a quarter of all races featured Hards in the winning strategy.

It depends on the race length. In 100% races I would say hards are useless but last week I saw a race where hards were probably the best choice. +35 degrees, Monza. After few laps every compound was burning. The only tyre that I didn't use was the hard one but I have to suppose that it was the best.
In shorter distances tyre wear is stronger than 100% distances so hard tyres are more useful.
