Accidentally bid on a driver

Basically the same as the title. My phone lagged out while I was browsing the transfer market, and I accidentally bid on this driver:

I already have two drivers, and to sell him back to the driver market would mean I lose £4.5m for a stupid mistake: I had £21.3m but his transfer fee took me down to £12.6m. Is there a way to get rid of him and to refund the money or am I stuck paying for a driver I don't want or have the resources to pay for?
