OK guys with weather now in Europe the game is becoming unplayable in a way I simply cannot win.
This us the 4th time I have reported this bug ,you say you know about it but its never been fixed.
If as today it rains or stops raining it refuses to let me change tyres in the pit lane.
Exactly how many more times does it need reporting as it's ruining seasons of racing.
This is the 3rd time this season alone it's happened to me.

I’m guessing you are referring to changing tyres on the grid and not in the pit…

If so, I’m guessing you had a wet tyre chosen for your first stint while setting up before the race?

That's correct sorry on the grid.
I have reported this issue several times.
I had wets on , rain stopped before race tried for inters on both cars .
It just will not let me do it.
If its a dry race and begins to rain on the grid again its the same result,  I can't do it.
Most of the others drivers managed to change theirs.

It may not be a bug. You need to set up your advanced strategy properly but that’s weird because you are in a NRF league which means you should be able to change to M at-least with auto AS.

Alternatively you could take a screen shot of the tyre page the next time it happens. That way the devs can see exactly what’s going on.

Sorry this may be something you've tried already. But just to cover the base's.

When you join the race, are you doing the following:

Selecting the hammer & spanner Icon to move to the strategy Planner
From memory, this will default to the tyres that you wish to fit at your next pit stop. So changing tyres here won't change tyres on the grid.

You need to select the arrow or toggle pointing to the left to move to your options for the very first stint.

If you can see all 6 tyre compounds, you are on the wrong screen.

You should then see only Inters and Wets available. Maybe a single dry compound tyre as well if you have set advanced strategy in such a way that allows this. Choosing one of these compounds should change your compound on the grid.


If this is what you are doing already, then first of all apologies for wasting your timem and second of all, as Archie says please try capture a screenshot to help the developers.

Yes I select the hammer ? and spanner option.
So that is the wrong thing to do ?
I've been told this was a known bug.
However if its wrong ok .
But what's is this arrow and toggle left you talk of I'm at a loss.
I do play on a mobile ? does this make a difference?

Hey sorry I am explaining badly. Hammer and spanner is correct, my main objective is to check your are switching to stint 1 before trying to check tyres. Let’s see if I can upload some images…

In a wet race. Or a race with changeable weather you should be able to change the tyres once it reads stint 1 at the top of the tyre selection bar.

Although I think the ability to change the tyres does lock before the time hits zero. Not sure when sorry

Does it matter if you hit the spanner item at the bottom or top I seem to be using the one at the bottom.
Is there any difference ? 

Yes. The bottom one gets grayed out quite often.


I've never had any issues with the top one.

I didn’t even realise the one at the bottom was an option for changing tyres on the grid, I think it only lets you interact with stint 2?

It sounds like we’ve produced some new information for you to work with anyway so I hope it works for you next time ?

Thanks Micheal I won't be able to let you know until this change of weather happens again and I try to change tyres.
If and when it happens I will let you know ? 

Not a bug lol, you have to do 30 seconds before lights out, bottom row of tabs far right. You don't need advanced strategy active or use any of the top options. Job done. 

As I explained I have tried that along the bottom a good 3 minutes before start and it does not work for me.
I'll try along the top next time a change in weather happens.
When that is who knows.

Hm, may well be a bug then. Hopefully they can look into it, hope you get it sorted mate 

OK a update the Spanner icon at the top of the menu worked as was able to change tyres.

I was not allowed however from here to change my lap stints which still forced me into more stops than was required.
When I tried to increase them it just re set back to what I set up with but it's a start and managed a 3rd place ?

Glad to hear it! Ahh you are in no refuelling? Ok that's maybe worth reporting also, you can change fuel in those situations so it would be nice to be able to change stint length.
