I read The new road ahead, and i am EXTREMELY HYPED for the new updates, the engine manifacturer one most of all
I really hope the manifacturer would be able to upgrade the engine, top speed, acceleration, cooling, fuel usage and engine weight
There could even be a new facility that gets Development points for the engine maybe!
The fact that you will be able to supply other players is just fantastic for the "real life" igp championships with ferrari, mercedes, redbull and renault.
Will it be cross-cathegories?(An elite team being able to supply a rookie team?)
Thanks igp team for this wonderful game

P.S. sorry for my poor choice of words, my main language isn't english

I suspect you hype will be short lived and you are reading too much into this statement.

My guess is that the supplying of engines will be an option incorporated in the new 20+ levels.  I can’t think of any reason why someone would want engines supplied by say a level 10 player so I think it’s logical to assume it will be incorporated into the new levels.  What the benefits will be for the buyer at this stage would be purely be guesses as no details have been provided, but based on the overall tone of the blog I suspect they will be minimal.

Just my opinions and off course I’d rather your thoughts be closer to the reality than mine 😬

If being an engine supplier means developing your own engine is ok. But... if people start to waste all of their resources to have a super engine to be supplied to their main accounts, is a big no from me.

Everything lacks details in that post. We don't know what these changes mean and I fear many exploits will be introduced.

A couple of insights for you:

  1. Becoming an engine supplier is something only unlocked at higher levels, to expand gameplay for very high level teams/managers.

  2. When you become an engine supplier, you have to develop your engines. They will start off weaker than the standard suppliers, but when they are fully evolved, you can customise your engine's strength and weakness to every circuit, referred to as "engine tuning" in gameplay. This can represent a significant advantage over a standard supplier where the bonuses are fixed across all circuits.

Other gameplay mechanics will be detailed nearer the release, but we are still able to take in some new ideas to development and welcome any (realistic) suggestions. As you have seen in the blog, we are working with what we have at the moment and are holding off on the bigger and more ambitious projects until we get investment, when we can put together a bigger team.

A realistic suggestion: fix the race laps in quick race lobby. The estimated laps shown in lobby are exactly 80% of what we can do on track.

Going way off-topic here, but assuming it was a legit offer and it might interest everyone to read this, those ambitions would have to be scaled back by many multiples!

The costs involved in MMO game development are no joke. Investing in iGP Games is a scale-up opportunity, with a 10-year proven track record. We can demonstrate our ability to scale to much higher demand, and that we haven't even scratched the surface of our potential. That is partly due to being self-published, so you're right about one thing, marketing is key to unlocking our potential. That is why we've made it a key consideration in any deal. But 100k is an amount even a small studio could burn through in no time, as little as 3-6 months depending on how it's deployed.

We would welcome any serious private investors who want to be involved in what we're doing. What makes iGP Games an exceptional investment opportunity is that we're fully self-funded with a proven track record and are ready to scale.

Now, we can either go back on-topic or close the thread.

I have a topic related suggestion. Engine wear (cooling) should be 2 or even 3 times stronger than what is now.

We all change engine each race in elite. This is not a secret.

If we have high push levels, the engine will be (at 70/75%) more damaged and slower at the end of the race. So it will be more relevant investing points on your own engine in cooling for those tracks where we are on push level 5 for most of the race. If you don't invest enough in cooling, last laps will be a sufference.

I hope a fully developed engine won't beat too easily those who cannot afford a custom engine supplier. Here the balance among level 30 players and new players is important.

Send me your number  or let me know what you're proposal would be as it was a genuine offer, I know nothing about development, but marketing and advertising I do. You are in a fantastic position because you are the only game of your kind so far. With the right people in the right palces you could become huge.
