It raises SO many questions.

First and foremost, with 10 new levels at the top, are 30 Talent drivers going to be possible in the future? Will we ever actually know what Talent is for (IE, is it a stat multiplier or does it just make it easier to train or whatever)? And if T30s are possible, will the current T20s be bumped up to T30 or somewhere between 20 and 30? Or will they just stay as T20s?

Secondly, quoting our lord and saviour Jack Basford here, "New features will include driver special abilities (e.g. a qualifying specialist will have a performance boost in qualifying)..". Will the current drivers in-game also be affected by the new special abilities? IE, could my current drivers in-game (Andrew Glock and Mick Schumacher) become a Race specialist and Qualifying specialist, respectively? Or are they immune to that change? And if they do randomly gain an ability, could we change said ability with tokens?

Thirdly, engine manufacturing. This doesn't apply to me just yet. I saw the previous post Jack made - it only affects people beyond Level 20. Aka not me. But I'm Level 18, and I'm not that far away from Level 19. I may possibly get to 20 before the update is out. But still, I am curious about one major thing - would the manufacturing studio, which currently only makes parts, also make engines?

Whatever the answers are, this update has me 1000% hyped and I can't wait to see what happens! Jack, I know you and your friend have been punching the clock so hard to get this out there for us to see, and you have my full support.

I normally move on when I see posts of this type as often it is pointless discussing things that nobody apart from the Devs will know,  but there are a few questions you have raised that I believe we as the player base can either answer or comment on.

Talent - will there be talent 30 drivers.  I doubt it since is the managers level which is increasing not Talent or existing trainable stats.

You ask what is talent is? Well in simple terms it is by far the most important stat and frankly once you get to the existing higher levels you should only have level 20 talented drivers (ok I know this is stating the obvious 😂). The second point about how it works/impacts the game is a question that no one should ever be told.  You are effectively asking the Devs to open the bonnet on the game engine and explain how it works.  This is management game and some things should either be unknown or left to managers to work out themselves otherwise what is the point of the game?

New levels - how they will they impact existing managers?  Again no one other than the Devs know so for sure,  but I have never experienced a game where new levels are introduced and players get automatically bumped up.  You have to grind and work you up and I personally believe this will be the situation here.  Otherwise what is the point since of the update.  They are intended to add growth to the game and give those reaching level 20 something to work for.  I also doubt that you will be able to level up to gain abilities with tokens apart from how you can use to speed up the building of new buildings (we don’t know whether there will be more buildings).

Although I have my own views on your others questions I won’t comment on them since until more details are released it would just be conjecture.

Good to hear you will soon be level 19 and the move to level 20 unfortunately takes a long time to achieve.  I would suspect that going to level 21, 22,23 etc will take even longer for all of us.

From the data that I have collected since when I started to play, I can say that talent is a multiplier of driver abilities and that it weights 0,3 seconds per lap (on some track more, on others less) if you compare two drivers having T1 and T20.

I don't know if the experience counter is increasing in level 20 accounts but if it does, there will be level 30 players since day 1 of next update.

Not sure how you can accurately calculate that as there are so many variables like drs level,  boost level, race conditions, temperature, varying fuel load etc as well as how you race with push levels assuming you dynamically manage it plus every update made to the game that tweaks dirty air, tyre performance etc .  Qualifying has several bugs yet to be fixed and practice times have random driver errors built in.  All of these impact on your overall lap and race times.  Quick races won’t work either as everyone is automatically treated as a level 10.  However, if you have and you think it works then well done to you and that’s what I was saying it’s up to drivers to work it out rather than the Devs tell everyone how the game engine works.

If the experience counter is active for level 20’s causing immediate level 30’s that would be a disaster for the game.  Not as a result of some being higher than others, but more it distracts from an upgrade that is intended to open up opportunities for growth.  As I said in my previous post no game I ever played with level based accounts has ever done that and we won’t know until either the update is effective or more details are released.

There's actually a cap in the experience you can gain daily.

Anyway having new updates is always a good thing, my concern is more on the driver skills, it can 100% break the game. Just some time ago, female drivers were significantly faster because they weighed less. Having one was a must for competitive managers.

Once you reach level 20 though xp is probably irrelevant.  Not sure why it would accumulate,in the background as I doubt they ever intended it to increase to 30 when game was first developed.

I would share you concern of driver skills if it was one skill aspect,  ut the introduction of specialist skills just means we will have to decide which skill we value and aim to have drivers with that skill (assuming they aren’t hidden) e.g. would you prefer to have a qualifying specialist, an overtaking specialist or say a wet race specialist?

The last driver that I bought had an average laptime in the range that I expected so I think I am close to the true value.

I never considered quick races and practice laps and I exclude laps behind other drivers and if I get DRS I know how much time I should subtract by looking at "clean" laps.
