How can I improve on boost and push management? I seem to be either too conservant or hesistant on when to use boost, same goes with push management.

If you haven't read the complete guide here https://igpmanager.com/forum-thread/45862 then I would suggest checking out section 3 for some very good advice on push level management.

For Boost on top of the above advice:

Try to use boost as your car is accelerating for maximum effect.

Try not to use boost when you are already at your top speed unless its absolutely necessary (for example towards the end of the long straights in Italy but before the braking zone, you do go faster, but there's not as much gain)

A good strategy for push management is to cool down the tyres when stuck in a DRS train. It will allow you to push for longer when you really need to, closing big gaps without boosting and also in the long run it will extend the tyre life.

As for boost, you have to prioritize using it to stay in the DRS train, avoid using it to drop people or to overtake those doing exactly the same strategy.
Keep on eye on the tyre history, that way you can guess everyone's next pit stop and avoid missing DRS. You want to boost past cars on dying tyres as naturally overtaking them can cost you many seconds.
