Annual Olympic events

I want annual Olympic events where every nation has one manager and two drivers from the same country race together around all circuits. This could have an achievement and could attract new players with more competition.

And to add to your idea there could be team ups between two managers of the same country and each manager has a driver from the country that is being represented.

Maybe even unique car liveries for each country?

Maybe rewards in tokens?

Maybe 1v1 tournaments to decide the representative?

There already an iGP World Cup held every year so this isn’t needed

An event like this should be managed by the game itself not by some organizers that accept you on invitation.
I hope one day we will have something that does not involve extra accounts but first there are many bugs to be fixed and many improvements to do.

And yes I think it's needed.

Sorry Giovanni,  but I don’t agree.  How exactly could this be run by iGP?  The quick answer is they couldn’t as they don’t have the time and resources to do it and it would be virtually impossible to make it accessible to all without it killing off a lot of leagues and taking probably a year to run.  It just isn’t worth the hassle for the devs amd to compete you would have to leave your existing league.


IGP World Cup is not by invitation as anyone can try to qualify.  It isn’t worth anyone below level 20 trying though as it is aimed as an Elite competition.  Maybe you could arrange for one for lower level players if you feel so strong about it,  but don’t expect to see it any time soon from iGP since there is no way that they have the spare capacity to set it up (this is crystal clear from the New Road Ahead blog.

What I said is that a global league should be opened to every player in a dedicated section of the game.

Few iteration of mini leagues composed by 5 races where the first 4 players of 32 go to the next round.

Each round players are reduced to an eighth. In 40 days you have the finals. (8^8 is a huge number that should cover the whole player base) .

I think you are misunderstanding.  No where did I say you thought you were a great player?


How exactly would it run without players leaving their league?  The current game mechanic won’t allow you to race in two separate competitions at the same time.   It’s very easy to say it’s needed, but unless you have a clear idea of how it could be implemented it’s a meaningless statement.  Even your description above fails to address that a major change would need to be made to the game mechanic to make it possible.  The latest blog makes it very clear that iGP doesn’t currently have the resources to make all of the changes on their roadmap so at the moment this idea is just a pipe-dream and community lead solutions like the iGP World Cup are currently the only viable option.

I agree that the devs have got enough on their plate just making the game work properly for us and it would make a lot of work with no real reward to organise such an event, BUT…
The sponsorship potential might actually work! Allow an advertiser to sponsor the event, provide the resources to allow them to even create another department to work on this model and of course charge an entry fee so tokens are being used up as well.
It would be a massive project tbh and the guys who create the current World Cup competition along with the great Interliga competition that was created by the players themselves done a great job at starting something. The disaster of the untested big update release last year took the wind out of a lot of sails though so it will take time for people to start trusting the gameplay again before starting such a massive undertaking
