As I am in no real title fight this season, I thought I might give a SS (6) M (20) a go. I don't think that really makes much sense to most, but I was purely thinking of heats and qualy with that. And then if tyre heats and wear suits the 2 stop, I'll box for S (10) then S (10)

Monza ia an enigma in this game, says low tyre wear but the SS tyre will start degging after only 2-3 laps and drop off a cliff after 4-5. i like a 2 stop Soft tyre strat at monza on push level 1 the WHOLE race.

When you say PL1, do you mean slowest or 2nd fastest?

It's got to be really cold to even think about SS. Doing a 1 stopper is bad idea due to fuel load: ur car is way to heavy to perform well.

PL1 stands for no push at all. Calling that "slowest" shows misunderstanding of this game.

Mate, the way I, and presumably many others, see it, Push can be either just the general level or the 2 pushing ones. Can the world just say '1' or '5', with 5 being the fastest. And by Slowest and fastest, I am saying the lowest level and highest. You dont need to be agressive to explain that.

Then just say 1/5, even easier. :P

Anyway, 2 stop soft is often the way to go on Monza. If it's warm, 2 stop with the first stint on soft and the two other stints on medium will also work fine.

True or false?
Red hot ss for nine laps at monza are still faster than eleven laps of pink soft.

It's not monza but it's just to show ss can go 9 laps this was a very high wear track

False. :)

On some tracks it works, at Monza it doesn't. So far the fastest strategies seem to be s s s when cold and s m m when hot.

To go even faster, pray for rain. It will save about 45 seconds on a 50% race. :D

It's coming up to winter time again, will it be ss everywhere again?
Long time since I used just ss in a race might give it a go tonight.

In the first few seasons, I tried a 1-stop strategy. Yesterday (in Monza), I tested a 2-stop strategy, and it worked out very well, with Bitchin Racing finishing behind (we had a 3-4 while BR had a 5-6 with a 3-stop SS strategy).

In the time between me posting this page and now, I have learnt an awful lot about strategy and at 10C SS S S seems to work incredibly well.
