Upgrade DRS, Boost (I don’t usually manage during race) or Design points, which should I upgrade?

Does the DRS and boost both work when I am not present during races?

Yes DRS and boost both work if you're not on line. DRS is automatically activated when you're within a second of the car ahead and boost is managed by AI.

DRS and Boost are upgraded as a pair when you level up your Tech Centre although you do have to purchase them individually.

Beware upgrading your Design HQ in isolation from your Manufacturing facility because parts usage is linked to the level of your Design HQ. If you don't upgrade as a pair you may quickly run out of parts.
