Maybe it isn't impossible to "beat the stopwatch" after all!

That's crazy, on wet tyres...ridiculous.

I'll be praying for rain for my best teams...

Not sure from which date this was but once upon a time also push levels mattered for qualifying positions. Combined with that, it seems that wet tyres work quite well on some tracks.

Right now rain races also tend to be faster sometimes but push levels no longer matter in qualifying.

Also most if not all the records are set before the current tyres were introduced.

Thats ridiculous. So your telling me that full wets on a coldish wet day is quicker in qually than SS's with track temps in the 30's? Ive seen it all now!

Well, that obviously shouldn't happen. We'll be looking in to cases like this during beta testing to avoid repeats of this on the new iGP.

There must be a value off in the live site simulation configuration. How long have things like this been happening for? In your experience(s).

this has been happening since you(Jack) brought back rain... I have seen overall race times be quicker in rain than on a dry track.

You are forgetting in the wet sometimes you are on push level 5 just to get the wet tyres up to optimum temp and the dry tyres is over heating on push level 1.
I remember before someone asked in help if fuel would be less in the wet race than the dry and Jack himself told the person yes fuel would be less because you are not pushing as much.
My comment then was maybe Jack hasn't played in a while or one of the updates has messed things up.

I joined the game 9 months ago Jack and wets have always been too quick imo, but to break a qually lap record is a new one for me!

Believe it was also the case before that Doug but not entirely sure as my sense of time is bad.

But to compare some seasons, I looked back at the Monza for the league I'm in as I recently noticed a wet race in an earlier season was much faster than the normal dry seasons.

Season 27 - 11 Feb 2015 - dry - 36:43.825
Season 28 - 22 Mar 2015 - dry - 36:45.472
Season 29 - 01 May 2015 - wet36:09.095
Season 30 - 10 Jun 2015 - dry - 37:14.281
Season 31 - 19 Jul 2015 - dry - 37:19.565
Season 32 - 30 Aug 2015 - dry - 37:15.532
Season 33 - 09 Oct 2015 - dry - 36:50.742
Season 34 - 11 Nov 2015 - dry - 36:49.882

This didn't used to be the case, and while we have admittedly been so focused on the new iGP we've neglected the live site a bit, I didn't realise things like this were going on!

We'll get it fixed for the new iGP, which we're making good progress on. Still a lot to finish before the first alpha test but still targeting month end.

Also look at the lap record in Monza. 1:14.013 set by Jonas Klein in full wets.

Not sure from which date this was...

If you go the race page, you see it's set on September 30th, 2015 08:04 (depends on the time zone)
