Maybe, you had better look at current ambient temperatures of tracks. Most are in the hemisphere of this planet which means it is winter at those tracks. IRL, both Canada and Spa are more than likely covered in snow at the moment, for example.
IMO. You should wait till February or March. There should start to be more track temperature variations from place to place, by then. After that, tyre choice and push level management will take a more serious turn.
Got to say I’m racing most tracks and there’s only one or two that are all push level 5 to me. (Hungary and Japan) everything else yes the average push is higher but I’m still changing it all the time.
It’s worse in no refuelling when the cars are heavy at the start of the race though. Heavier cars = slower cars = less heat generated in the tyres = higher push level required.
Latest racing tracks, turkey hungary monaco spain all boost 5 almost fixed, offline people who if it weren't for the ai using bad boost would be as strong as those who are online!! It's not nice to see people offline who, if it weren't for the AI using boost, are as strong as people online
Two people on here are not liking how the planetrary climate is affecting the racing.
As a social player and a host, this disappoints me.
There are many other ways of affecting the result in races other than using push levels every 2 seconds (push management). Many of those methods are not race based. Only one is, that being boost management.
In actual fact, winter running makes the management of driver training, driver and staff recruitment and car development more important. Thus making this an overall management game over the year.
If you want my winter in race advice, pop in. Have a chat and just change PL on tyre compound changes as required (only a few times per race). This is a time of more social racing and more intense pre race setup.
