Since Dark Sky closed down it’s app on 31 Dec the weather for races has been weird and nit reflecting real world.  Using today’s Belgium GP as an example, all day the game has shown it raining with 3.9mm of ground water which would indicate heavy rain yet every weather app/site I’ve checked has shown it dry all day?

It may be the game's way of telling us that the track is covered in deep snow.  I mean, it is winter and Spa is in mountainous terrain...

Canada and Austria, perchance?

Both will, at this time, have the same problems as Spa...

What app are you using to check the weather now? I’m not aware of another service where I can protect the precise weather at the co-ordinates of the circuit like dark sky, have been looking for one.

Apple weather is fine in general but can only find me the closest town / city which isn’t always accurate.

I Always had that problem with Belgium before I found the forum post with all the links. It can be raining a mile away from spa and yet be dry and the circuit. or as we have seen in F1 a few times over the year half a dry lap half a wet lap ?

Ever thought of using national weather services.  I know that the Met Office has weather data for Silverstone and am just wondering if other nations have the same standard of weather stations and weather services as the UK does.

This might not be helpful in Russia, though, unless you actually live there
Or you can use the links in the following post:-
