Given the ten extra levels being added, I think it would be a good idea to allow the league host to implement a technology level cap, which limits the power of teams DRS and battery regardless of their HQ level. At the moment, DRS is already ridiculously overpowered, and you can often be passed by four or more cars in a DRS zone. It essentially makes races a waiting game where you have to try and stay in DRS because it is worth over a second a lap, and then everyone uses their battery at the finish. It is often tedious an unexciting, and entirely a product of the DRS being stupidly overpowered. Furthermore, the power of DRS is inconsistent throughout the race, and gets less powerful as it goes on - which is actually better.

The extra ten levels worry me greatly, given how ridiculous DRS is already at level 20, the idea of level 30 DRS is extremely worrying and would likely make the races even more dependent on DRS. As a result, I think it would be intelligent to allow league hosts to cap the strength of technology in their league, to introduce a greater element of strategy and manager skill rather than being technology dependent - or even better, allow hosts to ban DRS altogether as a new league option. Another potential solution would be to re-calibrate DRS as a whole, and tone down its power extensively across all levels to make it helpful, but not a race dependent element - you should never be able to be passed by four cars in one DRS zone at any circuit, however it seems to happen at almost all of them now.

I hope something is done about this to increase the enjoyment and play-ability of the game.

I remember José's post where he said that level 20 drs pre-update will be like level 30 post-update.

A technology level cap is a great idea but I don't think it will be allowed (someone will start complaining because there is always someone that likes to be winning thanks to higher levels).

Yes I also believe it has been confirmed that level 30 DRS will have the same power as Level 20 DRS today. I can't remember if it has been confirmed for boost but It's safe to assume this is the case.

I'm not sure on a technology cap. For an elite tier it could be fine but in Rookie and Pro it would actively disadvantage higher level players as they would be left with ballast to deal with without any means of counterbalancing it.

Of course if the implementation of a technology cap rule removed ballast from the lower leagues as part of the equation that would fix that particular issue, but I'm on the fence in general on the topic of introducing more league rule option's.

Ok that is slightly reassuring that the extra levels won't make things more powerful, hopefully it will be a re-calibration and current level 20 will become far less powerful.
