Do you swear by hiring only one nationality of drivers?

A brief backstory on this question...

I've become heavily focused on Spaniard drivers, as my first Spanish driver earned me all of my current championships. His talent rating was 17.

Once I had him trained to the level of my desire, I noticed that he excelled in the rain when on the appropriate tyre (he had won at most races where it rained). Normally in the dry, he would qualify at the bottom of the grid (no matter the compound or car development), however, in the wet, his qualifying position would be either on pole or podium.

Observing the nationalities of the other drivers of my rival managers, none exhibited the same behavior my Spanish driver did whenever it rained.

I originally intended to keep my first Spanish driver until he was 32 or 33. However, in October, with anticipation of the iGP update around the corner, I figured it would be a good time to hire a driver with a talent rating of 20. My current driver is 99% complete in his training towards the level of my desire. And again in the rain, he exhibits the same qualities his predecessor did — qualifying either on pole or podium in the rain (and down the grid in the dry).

It makes me wonder, whether or not the Spanish nationality has the ability to drive supremely quicker over other nationalities in the rain.

Which leads to my question: Do any of you swear by a certain nationality of drivers? Is it out of pure preference? Or have you perhaps noticed some qualities unique to a certain nationality that others do not exhibit?

And do you believe each nationality of drivers may have unique capabilities in certain conditions that others do not?

I don't think nationality has anything to do with it. If that was the case British & Irish drivers would be the greatest in the wet, for the simple reason everyone assumes it does nothing but rain in the UK & Ireland. lol

I'm still under the impression the drivers height & weight plays a big part at different tracks and conditions.

If you look at the many drivers I've had, barely any are the same nation. I have an Icelandic driver, I had an Albanian, there's been Canadians and Denmark ones, Belgian waffles and a few Brits, a legendary Argentinian alongside Germans, I think Nemec is from the Czech Republic, we've even had Americans and Irish drunks, and finally drivers from the likes of Finland, Australia and the Netherlands. And I have had all of these drivers on one account, in just 147 races. If you would include my other main/second team, you could add Brazil to that list, along with the nations Poland and Japan, and they have raced 121 times. So, my 26 different drivers across my 2 teams current history belong to 17 different nations.

I've seen your theory on height and weight.

My two drivers have indeed been the same height and weight. Only one cm separates them in height. This might add some substance to your theory.

I don't have a real preference for certain nationalities but I do have good experiences with drivers from France, Iceland, UK and Spain. For this team the drivers from Iceland and France gave me most of my championships so that also leads to a good feeling about it.

But to be sure if some nations do better at certain tracks, I don't know. Between seasons drivers perform different while having similar cars, setups, driver statistics and conditions so to make a good comparison you would need a huge load of data with a lot of equal drivers

I think a good portion of the drivers performance comes from training and how the manager runs his races.

But to go back at preferences, I do like good sounding names and I also tend to go for the low heights.

Much logic, very sense, such wow.

One thing I must add in, my Spaniards have struggled at Italy for way too long. I haven't won at Italy for 8 seasons.
