I think I know what this was, we did a bit of a clean-up of stuff related to Google Play yesterday and in the process maybe the user that authenticates in-app purchases got removed. Hopefully it's resolved now, the permissions have been re-added.
If anyone else makes an in-app purchase, please let us know if the error has stopped happening.

Error message no longer shows, got your purchase was successful instead but can still see the pack in my store with no training boost activated.
So funds deducted but no pack received.
