Nitrous or KERS

Just wondering. In the race. KERS not charging so perhaps we have nitrous in the cars :P

What do you mean by not charging? In real races the HUD only displays the availiable use time per lap, not the current charge.

I think he means not recharging lap by lap, but instead, it charges one time only, for the duration of about 3 laps and then it can only be discarghed once. It was designed that way, Iikka.

Ok. Good to know it\'s a design thing and not a bug. No documents though so all people can do is take a guess at how things work or report it in :)

It was talked about throughout the forum during beta testing. Can\'t remeber where though.

What do you mean ? KERS is self-powered, doesn\'t use fuel. It uses kinetic energy and convert it into electricity and further, into rotational engine power.

They finished the race with bar kers full and is automatic. They do not use KERS and should use it.  Why buy kers if not using automatic?

If they really didn\'t use KERS at all, and you didn\'t deselect the \"Driver controls KERS\" option in the settings then this sounds like a bug.  Though it\'s particularly surprising.  Has anyone else noticed this?

Only one team in the league I am in has KERS and the manager isn\'t a subscriber. Though I have seen the KERS meter have less than a full bar (implying that KERS has been used). I have not witnessed the KERS bar going down (I have not had their car selected when they use KERS). It did occur to me that they usually have a full bar of KERS so probably don\'t use it as often as they should.

Me. Some cars use it, some don\'t. I mean for managers with KERS. For instance, manager X has 2 cars. Car A is using it, car B doesn\'t. And he cannot select/deselect cars separately. Furthermore, my selection always defaults to auto-use. It doesn\'t remember the setting.

Noticed this as well yesterday. I was on the phone during the race and came back with my driver still with full KERS. Then I had to unselect the \"let driver use KERS\" option and used it manually.

The same problem is drivers do not use KERS and it does not matter whether or not to tick

@andrew - which race was that? - it help the devs if you tell them which race had a problem

In my last race KERS worked once automatically. There is some logic work? Can we raise our wonder panics?

Not charging for me, don\'t think drivers are using it automatically either.

I've fixed a problem that was stopping drivers from using KERS automatically.  I can't see why KERS might not be charging though.  Could someone else confirm if they have seen KERS not charging when it should be?  Thanks.

KERS is charged only the first 3 laps. Then there is no charge
