What exactly defines a wet race? The other day I was in a race in which it rained during qualifying. The rain stopped prior to the race. At the start we had 0.7 mm of water on the track. I  would consider this a wet race, but one driver was disqualified because of the tire rule (he used inters and one dry compound). So it appears IGP rules considered this a dry race.
Can someone help me figure this out?

If it is wet at start of race,  but doesn’t rain during the actual race it is  considered a dry race.  There is a thread about this

There are many threads that discuss this issue in the game, and rightfully so since it has caused so much havoc in so many races. Couple this poor wet race definition with new level of uncertainty that weather now brings since dark sky has gone away, and you get these races where half the field is DQed. I guess one work around league managers can consider is turning off 2 tire rule. Still, this should be the #1 item in the game to fix right now.

Andreas
Thanks for the thread. Very helpful.

My rule of fist: if it rains during race, it’s a wet race. Just a single drop of rain will make it a wet race.

Which also means: if track is wet but drying (it doesn’t rain during race) that’s a dry race
