So I'm going to assume that no one actually runs an F1 team outside of the internet, so that leads me to wonder...  What do you do?

I'm one of the lucky folks that turned a hobby into a job, so I run Roller Discos for a living.  The pay sucks and I rarely get a weekend off, but I get to skate around with some friends whilst making a few quid!  Result!  Prior to this I've been a D&T teacher, shop manager and a navigator in the RAF.

I'm currently taking courses that prepare me to get certified in Cisco networking as well as studying for my Bachelor's in Computer Information Systems.

Wow, that'll keep you busy!  I love learning, quite often take a course at local college for no obvious reason!  Think your idea of actually aiming for something might be a better plan!   (I did a Phd just to get the title, absolutely no intention of going into design so of no use what so ever!)

i do gaming hopfullly get in a racing league soon. other than that im in school (yep thats right). but what im hoping to do is......i dont know.....AND I HAVE WORK EXPERIANCE IN A YEARS TIME! i still dont know what im doing. i could be a gamer or a aton martin designer or...i dont know. an author is on the cards too. but i still never give up on rying to be a f1 racer. even if on my karting debut(last year when i was 13!) i got lapped many times by everyone. and hit head on at the back and smashed into the wall. litterally someone thought it was funny that if he crashed into me at speed and when i was going around a corner i suddenly felt myself getting a push.a massive push. my head was pushed forward. I WAS PETRIFYED! so much so that i didnt turn and i had a second impact straight into the tires. thankfully i got back out and started going a bit faster. even though i was scared and went outside a lot in the corners to avoid everyone i still felt such joy going down the straights. i still maintain that its probrably beacuse my legs couldnt reach that much. lol. on gaes much different, im ranked 1446 on f1 2014 at the moment. im very aggressive too. went round the outside of 130r once and without contact. hopeully if i get the chance to kart again ill be better this time. im taller than my mum now so "cant reach petals" is no longer an exuse....wish me luck.....

Not running an actual F1 team? Well guess you're right in that Mark. :)

In daily life I'm a Mechanical Engineer and working at a shipyard for close to 11 years now. Never aimed to be in shipbuilding but solving problems and designing is what I like and pretty happy how it turned out so far. The actual building isn't my cup of tea, never ever let me handle a welding torch.

Outside work I like to keep the hands busy, working in and around the house keeps me happy. Not sure if the neighbours agree though. :D

Physics and Mathematics teacher at a small independent school though I do enjoy fabrication and would love to have the means to do its as a hobby but it isn't happening on a teacher's salary.

Studying Aerospace Engineering at Purdue University right now (aero program is ranked top 5 in US). I'm a member of the Formula SAE team and will also be driving this year. I'm hoping to be an intern for a Porsche GT3 cup team this summer, working towards WEC. So maybe I will run a F1 team in the future. ;)

That'd be awesome Vince. Get Oppositelock guys some free tickets to COTA when you are running an F1 team :D Plus free advertising for iGP! hahaha
And your field of study is awesome too!

@ Tjerk, which shipyard are you working in? I've been to Heesen in Oss a few times as we had a yacht in production there. It wasn't mine but the family I was working for at the time were building one there. I've also just spent a year on a 90ft Holland Jachtbouw which was a lovely boat!
