Hello Excel Pro's,
I'm trying to take the race data and put it on a spread sheet so I can work out better strategies for future races.
I'd like to know the difference between each lap to a thousandth of a second but I can't find a formula for this on the internet anywhere. Simply trying =a1-b1 didn't work due to the lap times that were longer than the one before just coming out as a load of ####.
If anyone knows how I can get around this seemingly easy issue that would be a huge help.
Kind regards,
George

i think #### means excel can't show the result because the column width is not enough. ;)
try making the column wider.

Dan's correct, I searched Google for "getting #### in excel" and I'm finding the same answers he's provided.

Mathematicians looking to find an edge :D
That is why a lot of games have random setup put in place for tracks, so that you never have the same setup every season to work out the winning formula.
