Hey all,
So I’ve taken over hosting a league for the first time due to the previous host having work commitments. Although I’ve been playing the game for several years, I have no idea what I’m doing as host!
Specifically with the promotion stuff. So we currently have only 3 drivers on rookie, the rest are full (I think some are alts). How will this affect promotion/relegation?  Can anyone give me some advice on what I need to do please, if anything…

In a 1 car league you need at least 16 teams in a tier to trigger promotion. When this happens the top 4 in the league get promoted at the end of the season. In some leagues they achieve this by padding out the lower tiers with dummy accounts.

For relegation, the teams in P29, P30, P31 and P32 will go down. If there are fewer than 29 teams in the tier nobody is relegated.

So we actually only have 14 teams in Pro league, will the rookies get promoted without a relegation?

No as you only have 3 managers in Rookie they can’t be promoted.

Rookies only have 3 teams and need 16 for promotion to happen. So in your case, no promotions from Rookie to Pro, nor will there be any relegations from Pro to Rookie because Pro only have 14 teams.

In fact, if you keep your current numbers, all that will happen at the end of this season is four teams will be relegated from Elite to Pro.

You can prevent this by turning off promotion/relegation in the league settings but it will mean your Elite tier will remain full so you lose the opportunity to get new members in the Elite tier.

Ok cheers guys for the advice. Dunno why we can’t have AI drivers to keep the leagues full so promotion works. Anyway, I’m don’t have the time to invent 16 new accounts so it’ll have to stay as it is for now.
