First of all the number of laps will depend on race distance, 100%, 75%, 50% or 25%.
Secondly, this is a formula racing game, not a F1 simulator. For licensing reasons the circuits are similar to the real ones but there are subtle differences. Lap length may be different which will result in different number of laps from the real F1 races.
Regarding revenue... what do you think pays for the servers, the network, game improvements and bug fixes? Do you do your job for the love of it and don't require paying? If so. and you're a top developer maybe you could offer your services.
I was referencing the number of laps on 100% race length, I am very capable of basic mathematics thank you very much but thank you for confirming that the devs care not about the customers and don't consider what the players want from the game to be important to them. I suppose there's some nonsensical reason for all the other things that have been made worse such as the tyres that could be delivered in the same rude, uncaring and flippant way as the other replies I've had but I have heard all I need to know, the attitude is we will do what we like regardless and the players can like it or lump it.
Not one reply has answered the question of when was the last update that actually improved the game rather than make it worse to play and break something that then requires another update that breaks something else? What's the point of having a forum if you don't care what the players think?
As for revenue, I run a customer service based business that relies on keeping my customers happy and if I was ignoring what they wanted while trying to extract more money out of them for the privilege I would lose more revenue through losing customers, that's just basic business sense. There seems to be a very insular mindset about how the game is being run recently, whatever or whoever changed this last year or so is definitely not for the better for anyone except them
