Hi.

First time racer here, just finished my first race.
For the second race, the forcast shows rain an thunderstorms...

So, if it rains , how do the full wet tyre (or the intermediate) change gameplay?

Forecast is:
Scattered thunderstorms in the morning, then mainly cloudy during the afternoon with thunderstorms likely. High 31C. Winds SSW at 10 to 15 km/h. Chance of rain 80%.

Is the tyre wear similar to any other tyre?

Any pointers that you can give would be very helpful.

Thank you

Hi Fredrik

Tyre wear for wets is very very low, inters will work up to roughly 0.65 when wets will be better.

If it's a full wet race then you can pretty much ignore tyre wear. eg  after 11 laps at Hungary on wets still had 66% tyres left. 8 laps on inters 64% left. Supersofts in the dry had 38% left after 7 laps as a comparison. (Donelot tyres)

Hope that helps and good luck.

If you click on the weather icon (top left) it will expand to show a rain gauge.

The other thing to do is watch closely the lap times of other players to see when the different tyres start to go quicker.

You will also know by the temperature of your tyres. Wets will get too hot in drying conditions, slicks will go cold in wet conditions.
