I just did a couple of races and I got few complaint/requests.

In every race I have done it was always about team pace, the finishing order was always team 1, 2, 3 ,4. The differences between drivers is minimal compered to the cars, thus eliminating any role of strategy, since the pace differences between teams is too big.

This was in a new league with new teams, where the differences should be minimal, yet it was clear from lap 2 how the race will end.

This is not what I would expect, so there may be something wrong.  The driver\'s characteristics generally have quite a large impact but perhaps tyre/fuel/engine supplier is dominating in the beginning.  I\'ll have a look at your race and see if anything needs tweaked.

In the future could you post a link to the results page for the race where you noticed an issue, and if it\'s related to any specific driver(s), link to their lap-by-lap results page.  E.g. http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=race-result/433#race or http://igpmanager.com/play/?url=race-result/433/13712.  Thanks very much.

Will do.

But is something that happened in every race I participated. So i thought it was a common problem.

Only if there was a retired car or a major tactical error the drivers from the same team didn\'t finish the race together.

On a side note, Mills GP is a new team who joined mid season and despite not having any car upgrade has dominated the last 3 races, in the last one I managed to close the gap with good tactical decisions (wet/dry conditions), but I couldn\'t match their pace. It could be to car setup, I don\'t know, but I don\'t think it is.

It turns out my suspicion was partly correct:  Engine suppliers are particularly important and the choices of engine/tyres/fuel suppliers is largely to blame for keeping teammates together.  For example, Rick (manager or MillsGP Team) has roughly a half second per lap advantage over you because of his engine.  But in your races it seems that risk strategy and parts conditions are generally the same for each driver in a team too.  So these factors are also keeping team mates together.  I can tweak this but the way it is working is reasonable in my opinion.

It doesn\'t seem as though there\'s a problem with MillsGP\'s winning streak.  That team seems to be maintaining good condition parts, having a good strategy, and keeping tyres in good condition as well as having an excellent engine.  Your driver D da Silva just about makes up for your lower performance engine, but you\'re disadvantaged in multiple other areas.

Thanks for explaining it.

I changed my engine supplier now, didn\'t think there was 0.5 sec between the 2 top suppliers.

Another thing, what is the point of different suppliers if a rookie team can sing the best one from day 1? Maybe put some limitation like you do on facilities or everyone who knows the details will run with the same one.

That\'s too high, because the scales we are talking here they are all quite evenly matched, that could amount to over a second when I start adding bonuses for specific teams and new engine models.

I think 1s should be about the entire range of variation from 1 - 20 points, so only 0.1s per lap if there is two points difference.

I\'ve reduced the variation of engine performance.

Is there a way to look at characteristics of different engines without signing a deal with every one of them? also other things like tyres and fuels. And the exact performance (in tenths) would be nice, if not too much. This game seriously needs a wiki, community could run it.

Not at the moment - I think it is something that is being worked on

If it helps, as far as I can see it, I (MillsGP) saw a huge improvement after upgrading the engine. However it was soon brought back down to a much slower pace as I had very few mechanical staff (I had a lot of staff all set to work on next seasons car), resulting in parts wearing. I had a susspention failure a few races back!
