Hi Guys,

Since the switch to bmi my drivers are stuck at high weight. For example my 20 talent driver has 30
Stamina and Green BMI but weights 91kg and can’t be trained to lower weight as the bmi is green.

This means that I that he is completely uncompetitive, for instance in the last race he finish +16 seconds even though he was up against a 20 talent driver with 30 stamina, they had more fuel and ballast in there car and I was on minimum fuel and the same strategy.

All because the rival driver was at the weight limit when BMI came in.

There is no point in buying a new driver as they won’t be able to get lower to the weight limit if there bmi is green.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Driver weight does not affect performance. You need to look elsewhere for the reason you were 16 seconds behind.

The team that beat you have two drivers, one of them is a legacy T20 with low weight but the other (incidentally the one that won the last race) is a new driver and therefore is much heavier than his team mate.

In fact, the winning driver is 5kg heavier than your 4th position driver who was 27 seconds behind at the end of the race.

Laurence it doesn’t weight is turned off so has no effect on a drivers performance.  In fact it was only ever turned on for a few weeks which caused an uproar as it meant tall female drivers had a massive advantage in qualifying so it was rapidly turned off agin and replaced with BMI.  Once your driver’s BMI turns green it in the optimal range so losing any more weight would have no impact.
