I have been having some tyres issues whereby i am using same brand and push level but i am heating up more then others. I do have connection issues sometimes so me and my other mate thinks that it might be lag. anyone encounter this problem?

When do you think your issues with tyres started?

If you're having connection issues, you may want to perform a speed test of your internet. Are you connected to your internet via ethernet or wi-fi?

Do you have a mobile phone that has hot spot capability and good signal strength? If so, you should connect to your phone's hot spot wi-fi during your next race and see if the issue really lies with your internet service at home (or wherever it may be).

It's also possible if you are using wi-fi in a crowded space many wireless signals may be causing interference. Have you tried to find solutions on the internet on how to get a stronger wi-fi connection if you use it?

Ah...i have to say i am not good with computer altbough i kust know how to use it, recently i upgraded it to 1gb and i connect it using cable i am not sure if its my provider that is giving the problem though since i also have similar problems in the beta. As for the tyres i have been monitoring it and it seems to happen this 1 season. When i am racing i notice that i am always heating my tyres a little bit more even while we are on same push level.

In more cooling weather it is not so obvious but the colour will be a little more darker even with same brand and PL. The most obvious are when i race in slightly humid weather i will heat up quicker then the other manager while we are on the same PL and tyre supplier. The manager whom i am racing with thought i was on higher PL when i was on PL1 all along.

Hmm...

Can you go to http://www.speedtest.net/
1. Click on 'Begin Test'
2. When the test is complete, it will tell you your results. You can share the result by clicking "Share this result"
This picture shows where it will say Share this result.

3. Click on Image:
4. Click copy, and paste the link here.

Here is what my results look like:

When you connect using a cable, is it going from your PC to a box with blinking lights? And is anybody else connected with cable at the same time you are playing?

I tested it but now since i have relocated my cpu while using wireless and you might be right i have like 5 ports that has connected with other device like my cable tv, my android box and etc but i dont think i can take them out since about 3 is connected to my house phone. I guess i will have to test it out in the next few days... thanks for the help and cheers :)

You don't have to remove any of your wired connections. My intention was to see how much speed you are getting to your PC regardless of any other connections. If there are other connections consuming bandwidth, you only need a little for iGP. I have been playing iGP since I had 3 mbps in late 2014 and even under load I have never had any issues.

If your connections are going through your home phone I suspect you have a landline connection, which would also mean that your home phones connect to a "filter" and those filters connect to the wall, correct?

Do try a speed test though and post back here when you get a chance to do so. It doesn't take more than two or three minutes.

As the initial question was about tyres overheating, isn't it rather pointless to discuss the speed of the internet connection in direct relation to the heat of the tyres?

Jay, the aggression attribute of your driver will have a quite visible effect on both heat and wear of your tyres. Whilst your connection may mean that you struggle to change the push level of your driver, and that you disconnect frequently so you can't change anything, once the push level is set, if you are connected to the game, or not, at any speed has no relevence at all to your tyre temps. Maybe drop the push level of your driver as soon as you log into the live game, rather than waiting until lap one is underway, just to ensure lag isn't having an effect.

No, it's not pointless. Jay has won multiple championships and has a high reputation and world ranking on the Hall of Fame.

He knows what he's doing in a race, obviously, so I am willing to make sure his connection hasn't been the issue.

Yes, I see Jay's experience, and yours also far outshines mine. Maybe it would have seemed more polite if I'd put it as a question: How is it possible that a poor internet connection can make tyres run hot? This is a genuine curiosity. Is there a proviso in the game code that if you are not connected your tyres run at a higher heat? That feels rather harsh on people who can't make it to a race! I was rather presuming it doesn't work like that, thus, other suggestions.
