Tire Wizard: This driver is very good at managing tires, with this talent, the tires will get less degradation.

Niki Lauda / Great mechanic: A talent that takes the name of the master Niki Lauda, very famous for his ability to improve the car. Drivers with this perk grant an upgrade bonus to the car they drive. (If a driver with this talent completes the race, the car will get a better improvement).

What do you think of these talents? Suggest others? Maybe we will be listened to! In my opinion they could improve the game a lot.

Last lap wonder: driver has an above-average performance in last lap (opposite of quali special ability)

Classic circuits: much like street circuit but then for classic f1 circuits like Monza or spa

Fuel extrmist: driver uses less fuel when on low push level (helps when almost running out)

I think there could also be negative traits, that come with the driver automatically. Most drivers wouldn't have these, but a few would. These can't be removed.

Toxic - Teammate's morale is permanently fixed to 1
Glutton - Driver can't lose weight. (would only be on drivers if they're over the optimal BMI)
Lazy - Driver training is 50% as fast.
Careless - Parts and engines wear 2x as fast

This is sort of a joke, but it would be kind of interesting to see these in the game.

And maybe Hardworker which is the opposite of Lazy

Hardworker - Driver trains 10% (common) 25% (rare) 50% (legendary) faster

I don't like fuel extremist because it just dont feel real. Maybe something like "Lift and coast" which reduce a lot the speed on the straight to save a very good amount of fuel, but i think this should not be a talent, just something that you can choose on the radio.

Defenser: A drive who's good at defending his position

Overtaker: A driver who's good at overtaking, expecially in turns without DRS



EDIT: You can have even: Aggressive: A combination of these two special abilities, slighly better, but with the probability that the driver make more mistake or even crash

No I can't prove it but I've been playing the game a long time and personally I don't see or feel any different. For example street circuit specialist doesn't go any faster than a driver with no talent. When they adjust other areas you can feel it, but with these talents it seems to do nothing.

No I can't prove it but I've been playing the game a long time and personally I don't see or feel any different. For example street circuit specialist doesn't go any faster than a driver with no talent. When they adjust other areas you can feel it, but with these talents it seems to do nothing.


That’s because you haven’t got one with a decent driver ability or class (i.e. it is not Legendary).  As Harry says there is one particular driver ability at Legendary level which crushes everything.  The other abilities are ok, but need rebalancing as at the moment they don’t provide a benefit equivalent to the one which has already been highlighted.  Can’t speak about common or rare too much as I only had one common which I upgraded to Legendary asap (on another account) and the difference in performance was huge.  Of course over time they will become less useful as everyone will eventually have the same Legendary driver ability or they won’t and will be back markers.

I think some suggested talent like Overtaker and Defenser could be very easy to code, just increase the Overtake or Defense stats... 

And i think the talent Qualifying could be renamed as Fast Lap, no?

And it would be really cool if the game let you train the special ability of the driver, in the training
