How is it possible that the consumption per lap in free practice is always the same? Whether it's sweltering hot, or it's raining cats and dogs? Consumption is always the same.

In reality, there is also a difference in consumption. If it rains and you therefore have different tires under the car, and during rain you take longer to complete 1 lap......
Then you use exactly the same amount of fuel as in dry weather?? Isn't that strange?

In my opinion, the weather conditions do have an influence during the race. It takes you longer to complete 1 round than in dry weather. This increases the total race time. And therefore you automatically need more fuel than in dry weather.

When will it also be adjusted in free practice? So that you can carry out realistic calculations?

Fuel consumption (MPG or L/Km) in the game is related only to Fuel Economy design attribute and push level.

The only variable the track adds is circuit length.

Practice laps are done at fixed push level (PL3) and your fuel consumption during the race will be more or less the same as practice providing you don't add any dp to Fuel Economy after you complete practice and you run the entire race at PL3.

You will use more fuel in the race than you did in practice if you run a higher PL (harder tyres or it's cold). Conversely if you run lower PL you will use less fuel than practice.

Because of this fuel consumption is almost the inverse of real life. Fast tracks such as Italy and GB will tend to use less fuel than low speed tracks because tyres get hot on tracks with long high speed straights forcing you to use lower PL

Circuits like Hungary where you are forced to use high PL to keep the tyres warm will have higher fuel consumption than practice suggests.

yes I am aware of all that. But isn't it unrealistic to have fuel consumption differ only according to the length of a circuit?

In my opinion you also have to look at the weather conditions. So; more fuel when it rains.... Is that something that will be developed within iGP?

This is also a game rather than an actual simulation so some things will work differently than in rl.  You are asking them to make a substantial reworking of a game which is over 12 years old.  This is an unrealistic request especially as newer and casual players struggle with the simple fuel calculations now.  You add in rain after the start affecting fuel consumption and it will cause chaos and unhappiness across the wider player base.  Not everyone who plays the game is a petrol head who wants an ultra realistic simulation.
