It is up to the player to decide to start over, recover slowly, or whether it is worth buying the option to cancel the debt.
Alot choose "quit game" option unfortunately.
The cash management is already a good challenge for players. Requiring all players to login on a specific day every 20 races or face immediate financial consequences is not fun or management. Players should be able to manage the sponsors with changes taking effect next cycle or renew the sponsors before it expires like drivers and staff.
I understand many love the micro managing part of the game. No problem ?. I believe the community is loosing players that like more the racing part of the game because it's too easy to be in a situation where you just can't be competitive because of financial issues beyond the normal challenges. I have no problem with the drivers and staff but you can extend their contract at any time.
What you are missing though is that sponsors come up right after a race has finished. If someone can’t be bothered to renew immediately then they should expect to be penalised.
Maybe the game is losing managers who prefer the racing aspect, but who knows for sure. Ultimately, this is a management game with a racing element so the likelihood is that those who want a racing game will quit pretty quickly since there are much better alternatives if you are just interested in the racing aspect. As a game the racing aspect here is limited. There are also not that many leagues that are full and those that are and are popular have waiting lists and would likely kick anyone who is not setting up their car regularly so leaving a league if you know you won’t be online for an extended period is probably the best thing to do.
Also auto renewal would disadvantage new players who won’t necessarily know who the best sponsors are and unless they are forced to renew they may well end up never looking at the sponsorship page or understand the implications of the choices (good and bad) you can make.
