I think this is regarding tracks where DRS zone is on the
start finish straight (like France, Bahrain, Spain). If a car ahead pits and you don’t (while in drs range at the last corner or even at the beginning of drs zone), the game treats as if the pitting car ahead doesn’t exist, and you don’t get DRS even while you stay out.

Oh, that was the suggestion? Tbh it was worded very vaguely and I thought that the suggestion was to enable DRS for cars IN the pits 🤣. That makes more sense, in which I fully support the suggestion now

Well even I am not sure what the original author intended. But I assumed this is what they intended to say because the other interpretation made no sense to me. And enabling DRS on a trailing car when the car ahead pits, would actually make sense, since in real world we have detection points that are some distance behind, but in game as far as I know the detection point is same as the DRS start point.

Another alternative could be to move them altogether somewhere mid lap and not have them on S/F straight at all

I mean, that would be a problem for tracks like Hungary, but I see your point here

what if the drs zone is after pit entry. 🤓
