Which way should I move the slider to increase the maximum speed of the car? Showing the max speed on the training would be an interesting option to add.

it doens\'t seem to matter as I understand, it\'s just about \"driver preference\". more developed car will give more top speed. correct me if I\'m wrong though

yes you are right Eric
The better the car is set-up the faster it will go - hopefully

I think left is a short gear ratio for high top speed, right is for slower tracks!
A gear ratio of about 20 i used in turkey!

short gear ratio means low top speed. And the slider doen\'t make sense from that perspective looking at all of the tracks.

i agree, cos monaco is quite low i seem to recall? and monda quite high? (in numbers)

Well, I suppose the slider adjusts ratios in some range that is track-specific, so 20 is not same in Monza and Monaco, at least this way it would make sense. Right now it is ~15-25 on every track excluding Monza.
