Reducing the effectiveness of drs

I've found in my league and others that due to the over effectiveness of drs, it's actually ruining the racing and making it a one lap shoot out with boost on the last lap.
My suggestion is drs gives a lesser advantage to allow for breaking the drs more easily which would then mean boost is used more readily throughout the race.
To be able to catch someone half a straight away because of drs is rediculious, even if it's a game not based on real life which I understand Devs don't want it to be. Having tyres and fuel reasonable but then having drs overpowering makes no sense

I think it is a necessary lesser evil for the gameplay. Without an element of uncertainty, people would start and finish the races where they qualified. (Almost happening anyway)
We ourselves don't drive the cars, and the drivers don't make "mistakes," the only meaningful way to play the game is through the use of boost and DRS.
If you take away DRS, people just boost at the first opportunity. I still remember when it was not possible to follow at Monaco, everyone emptied the boost as soon as it was enabled. not different from a last lap boost.
We also do have some tracks where it is faster to be alone.

They have reduced the effectiveness of drs now. I don’t think it gains you more than 1s now on any track. There use to be tracks where it was so huge you could lose 4 or 5 positions in drs! They’ve got the dirty air right on a few tracks now, where if your clever in the lap, you can pull away just over the 1s mark, or if your tyres are a lap newer you can! It’s much better than it was at 1 point!

If I remember correctly, dirty air is disabled and will be renabled next update which will help the drs train issue. But it was said the next web update I have no idea what that means except maybe only available when you play the game on the web? I've no idea

I think you are at least an update behind.  Dirty air was disabled and then brought back at a much reduced level.  It is due to change again in next update.
