Why is it that when I train my driver's physical attributes, he actually gains weight and not loses it. He's now a porky 59kgs....!

My driver started out at 53kgs. Now 59kgs. As I'm training him for Physical, both his weight and his BMI is increasing. Doesn't seem right.

It will do as you driver has a really low weight for its height with a bmi of only 16 atm which is in the red zone.  Training physical  will increase their weight until it hits the healthy zone (green) which I believe for this game is c.24.  Until then his performance will be impacted.

It’s worth noting that under the old system a tall driver with a very low weight was briefly beneficial especially in qualifying, but this was soon tuned on owing to complaints that tall female drivers had an unfair advantage and were very hard to acquire so weight was turned off.  The new system uses bmi (body mass index = weight divided by height squared) which balances weight with height, hence the reason your driver needs to put on weight.

It's all to do with the ideal BMI which should eventually turn green as he gains weight. At 59kgs your driver is a skeleton lol, his BMI isn't at the ideal range, I'm guessing with that height your driver will be around 80kgs
