I think it would be good if you could turn off driver controlled KERS on the next race page. Sometimes I'm spectating a race and saved my KERS. Then I get disconnected and in the minute it takes to get back my drivers use their KERS inefficiently losing me places in the long run.

Agree. That happened a few times for a couple of managers and they lost 60/80% of kers and were in difficulties to finish the race, often losing positions in the final result. I thought of an option working like that :
"turn off kers but use it in the final lap if I'm not back online".

In another thread on this I suggested a timeout, e.g. 2 minutes of inactivity and the driver takes over. Would that suffice?

Any chance we could have driver controlled KERS as well? Even if we're in the race watching?

I think that won't be enough if we count 2/3m to get an new IP and 1/2m to reload the viewer, maybe just bring back the old "disable kers" option without taking my "final lap" suggestion into consideration.

in my opinion a timer of 5 minutes would be right.

Slightly off topic,.. but is the KERS supposed to renew every lap like real F1 or is it just 100 % one time for the whole race distance ?
Also, I would like to support the OP & Nathan Smith, we should have the option of enabling or disabling Driver controlled KERS

i think the solution is eliminate KERS, like F1 now, and driver automatic waste his battery in every lap.
and maybe more interesting too, put in car pointsa new options

Acceleration - Fuel Economy
Brake - Handling
Cooling - Reliability
Downforce - Tyre economy
and put Hybrid system( recharge more o less battery to use in envery lap)
