Upgrade "Experience" by driver

Why we still cannot upgrade "Experience" stat, that have driver? 
Iam sure that more races driver has - more points he has to have? 
For example all drivers have always this stat "1" and every 5 races it upgrade by 1, so in summary he will have "30" after 150 races ( approx. 6 month )?

So how do you think gaining experience works? Racing, and the only way to gain it is from racing. This is working as intended. Yes it may take 145 races to get to 30 but oh well. It took real life drivers to also get their huge experience from racing 100-200 races.

What are you saying? Like Fernando alanso is the most exprienced driver on the grid becouse he has raced the most years and races(or hamilton) and then like piastri is new driver and he is getting more experience every race but its not fast thing to get 

so why i had driver with 139 races in my team and experience grown up by 0?
